Library Thing(s)?!?!?
Library Thing is a great site. Now if I could only remember the names of books I have recently read! - I'll try to add more after I get home and can actually see the books! Check out my "library".

Lifelong learning......
Okay, so after reading the 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learning, I have come to the conclusion that I am a lifelong learner. I love to learn, in my job, in my hobbies or anywhere else I happen to be. Can't say that I enjoy tests and papers any more, but I do enjoy learning new things. The point that is probably the hardest for me is #4 - have confidence in yourself. I'm not always confident that I can accomplish what I set out to do, but at least I make every effort to do so. - My latest attempt to use technology to my advantage is in using some music writing software to arrange music for the dulcimer. It has proved to be quite challenging, but I am really enjoying doing it. - Probably the easiest of the 7 1/2 points for me is #7, which is to teach/mentor others. I tutor on a regular basis, so that one is not difficult for me.

In case you're interested..............?
For those of you who don't know, I am a dulcimer player. A dulcimer is a trapezoid shaped instrument that has steel strings across it's face. It is played by striking the strings with wooden "hammers". The link I have added today is for the newsletter that comes out about dulcimer news. Enjoy!

Check out this great new site!
I just heard about this great new site for Forsyth County. The folks from the Public Library are in the process of digitizing 12,000 photos from our area. There are many from WFU, including the Law School! It is called Digital Forsyth and I have included a link here on my page, so be sure to check it out.

Hot Tuesday!
Not sure what to say on this Blog. It is going to be a Hot Tuesday, with temps soaring into the 90's. Pretty quiet day here at the Circulation Desk, with very few patrons in the library. We could use a little excitement around here, so if you have anything of interest you can add to our quiet environment, bring it on!
